Nice-Pak International has announced what it claims to be two environmental firsts for the industry—the first wet wipe manufacturer to offer fully recyclable packaging compatible with currently available waste recycling processes, as well as the first company in its industry to become a member of the GreenPalm certificate trading program in support of sustainable palm oil. Using what it calls a groundbreaking co-extruded monolayer HDPE material, Nice-Pak’s fully recyclable packaging carries the number 2 recycling symbol, the first of its kind in the wet wipes market. As a member of GreenPalm, Nice-Pak is now also the first wet wipe manufacturer to show its support for the production of sustainable palm oil. Formed in response to the wide-scale deforestation resulting from uncontrolled production of palm oil, GreenPalm and its members support a sustainable production process through a certificate-trading program.
